ATS Training & Consulting was founded in 2001 by Ganesh Maddali when he recognized an opportunity to provide high quality training services to Fortune 500 companies and their supply base. His vision incorporated a parallel approach to this opportunity, first providing training in Lean Six Sigma along with Leadership courses proven over years of real world application by seasoned professionals with corporate experience. He believed and knew that when learners were taught with his Learn-Apply-Master methodology, it would not only improve customer’s processes and enhance profit margins, but also leave a sustainable structure in place for continued improvement. As ATS’s business matured, the second part of his vision was realized by becoming a leader in material development for corporate universities’ and customer’s learning needs. By applying the customer focused tools and methods his team had been teaching to others, ATS began to realize new levels of performance and customer satisfaction in the learning and development and talent management fields.
The core principles of ATS include customer research, focus, persistence, flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and utilizing metrics to measure performance. This focus allowed ATS to enjoy continued growth through some very difficult times. ATS associates and suppliers are carefully selected and mentored to foster an intellectual understanding of and an emotional commitment to exceptional customer service.
A key to the ATS business success continues to be our partnership and mentoring by NOMSDC and their participating corporations. The exposure and knowledge received through networking, volunteering, and the Opportunity Fairs they host provide an invaluable service to keep ATS abreast of trends, opportunities, and potential clients for our products and services. Over the years, hosted by corporations with the support of the regional councils, ATS has conducted numerous multi-week training programs for other minority suppliers in the Lean Six Sigma area. To date, over 70 companies with the desire to enhance their customer relationships and improve their business operations have attended ATS seminars and courses. These companies have identified over $10 million in concrete savings from the projects they bring to class, resulting in their becoming a more valuable supplier to their customers. The business relationships fostered by NOMSDC and the vigorous, results oriented focus of ATS has enabled us to successfully serve some of the largest corporations in the world. We are able to leverage the success with our North American Fortune 500 customers to pursue and acquire customers in Europe and Asia as well.
A second key to ATS’s long term success and future is staying abreast of changing trends in our clients industry and to enhance services and products in advance of the customer’s realization of need. In our industry, for example, there is much written about the “Baby Boomer” retirements and the impact (e.g. Brain Drain – Experience Loss”) it will have on organizations. ATS continuously focuses on how the next generation learns with the advent of Social Media, changing learning habits and gaps in knowledge to assist our clients with new tools and techniques to address these challenges.
At a time when all corporations, no matter their size, are faced with cost, quality and delivery performance pressures, the services of a nimble footed company like ATS continue to be in high demand. By establishing strong partnerships with major corporations, proving our mettle year after year and consistently providing our customers a superior value, we feel very optimistic about our future.
Our foundational values of “Respect for People” and “Continuous Improvement” have enabled us to not just survive recessionary cycles, but actually grow year after year. The vision Ganesh established 12 years ago for ATS business along with the continued alignment of our business processes to that vision have consistently delivered multiple millions in business with existing and new customers. The networking access that NOMSDC provides enables ATS to sustain our healthy, controlled growth. ATS personnel volunteer and actively support the various activities of NOMSDC as a way to further our mutually congruent objectives.
Looking into the future, we expect clear skies with a wind at our back as we continue to set new sales records, including in 2012.
